Art is the medium in which we communicate human thoughts, interests, attitudes, emotions, and ideas. Saskatchewan artists from all genres have exceptional talents, and all artists now have a virtual gathering place to showcase, highlight their products and services as well as opportunities for promotion, communication and support. We firmly believe that there need not be tension between commerce and art. The important thing is that artists are compensated fairly for their work.
Allsaskart.com is an online marketplace for Saskatchewan based artists. The site connects buyers and sellers. The advantage to sellers is that through the purchase of a low cost annual membership, you have complete control of all pricing, transactions with buyers, and all advertising and promoting is done on your behalf. The advantage to buyers is that prices can be kept lower as the artists have lower costs and you can find Saskatchewan artists in one central location.
If you are a visual/media, literary, or performing artist, we believe in the value of your work and we want to support and promote your work. All the artists that you will see promoted and featured on this website have one thing in common - they are all from Saskatchewan. By supporting this site, you are supporting 100% homegrown, Saskatchewan talent, and for that we thank you.

About the Owner
Allsaskart.com is owned by Elizabeth Mansuy, a social worker by profession and an artist by choice. Why would a social worker want to launch a website for artists? Good question.
First, Elizabeth spent many years observing the role of creativity in maintaining mental, emotional and spiritual health, and firmly believes that all people should nurture and express their creative energy. Creativity is a vital component in maintaining overall optimal health, and when it is suppressed, people get ill.
Second, public officials fail to see the value of the Arts in society and Elizabeth responded to funding cuts. When you think about what the Arts mean to you on an individual level, you will realize that as a community, as a society, as a nation, we cannot live without them. The Arts need to be encouraged, supported and promoted, not cut.
Third, artists contribute richly to society but society compensates them poorly. Artists are often taken advantage of because they want to make a living selling their art. Artists deserve to be fairly compensated for their work like anyone else. When you think about the impact of the Arts and the contributions that artists make to society you will realize that without their contributions society would fail to thrive.
Fourth, there are no regional or provincial organizations that provide a comprehensive directory of all artists in Saskatchewan from all genres. The goal is to become an online hub for the Arts, connect buyers and sellers and provide a communication tool for artists to interact with other artists through the discussion forum. This will help to build a stronger Arts community in Saskatchewan, and hopefully provide a stronger voice for artists.
Elizabeth enjoys practicing her talents in all three genres and does not claim expertise status in any of them. She enjoys the status of advanced amateur and recognizes her own limitations, thus would rather assist with the promotion of her fellow artists endeavors.
